Scotland received an additional £14.5bn since start of pandemic

The Scottish Government has received an additional £14.5bn of funding since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, figures released by the UK Treasury today have confirmed.

Pamela Nash, chief executive of Scotland in Union, said:


“The UK’s broad shoulders have helped every part of the country through this crisis.


“Being part of the UK has ensured we can invest huge sums in our health and social care services and support businesses throughout the pandemic.


“This demonstrates why we are stronger as part of the UK and why the focus must now be on bringing people together and building a recovery for every part of the UK, leaving no community behind.”
