Nicola Sturgeon has revealed in her Programme for Government that she will publish a draft Bill setting out the proposed terms and timing of a divisive second independence referendum, as well as the proposed question.
Pamela Nash, chief executive of Scotland in Union, said:
“This is the very last thing Scotland needs.
“The entire focus of the Government should be on the coronavirus crisis; it is beyond belief that Nicola Sturgeon is choosing now to divide communities once again when she should be working to bring the country together.
“This is a scandalous waste of civil service resources during one of the biggest challenges we have ever faced, and tells you everything you need to know about the SNP.
“We are stronger together as part of the UK, and it’s time for the First Minister to drop her plans for a divisive second referendum.”
I usually laugh at the SNP and all the nonsense they spout, but I would genuinely have to question the sanity Scotland's first minister not only in the handling of the covid 19 pandemic but in attempting to set out arrangements for another independence referendum. There is no doubt in my mind that she has 'lost it' acting now like some kind of fascist dictator. It must be made clear to her and the rest of the SNP rabble that there will be no second referendum whatever the outcome of the election next May.
