The Scottish Government has published its ninth paper on separation, with a focus on social security.
Pamela Nash, chief executive of Scotland in Union, said:
“If Scotland leaves the UK, we will have less money to spend. This fundamental fact has been ignored in every single paper the SNP/Green government has published as it tries to make the argument for separation. These publications have no credibility.
“Many want a fairer system for social security. But the best way to achieve this is growing our economy, and pooling and sharing our resources across the UK.
“We desperately need this government to fully focus on using its existing powers to fix the problems we have right now – solving the NHS and education crisis and helping people through the cost-of-living crisis – rather than wasting time and money on propaganda.
"It’s time for the people’s priorities, not the SNP’s.”
